浙江树人学院校长，浙江大学医学院教授、博士生导师，国务院政府特殊津贴专家，浙江省“151人才”第一层次（重点资助）；中华预防医学会社会医学分会主委、名誉主任、顾问，国家高端智库（浙江大学区域发展研究中心）特聘研究员，浙江省政府特约研究员（2021-2025），浙江省政协智库专家；浙江省现代服务业研究中心主任，智慧健康公共服务浙江省工程研究中心主任，浙江大学公共卫生学院发展委员会主委。

长期从事公共管理学、公共卫生学、社会医学的教学科研工作，主讲《社会医学》《卫生政策》《卫生服务研究》等课程；主持国家自然基金、国家社科基金、国家智库及部委课题20余项，ESRC、DFID、CMB等国际重大合作项目10余项；发表学术论文170余篇，包括New ENGL J MED、The Lancet等SCI/SSCI期刊60余篇，《中华预防医学杂志》《中华医院管理杂志》等核心期刊110余篇；主编国家规划教材《社会医学》（第2~6版）、《卫生事业管理》（第1~2版）、国家出版基金资助项目《中华医学百科全书•社会医学》等10余部；培养公共管理、公共卫生博士研究生和硕士研究生50余人；获得教学成果国家级一等奖1项，省部级科学技术奖和教学成果奖6项。
